After Seventeen Years in Paris, a New Chapter Begins

From Paris to Japan: A Seventeen-Year Decision
In 2009, I founded IMUKA TIMUKAT PARIS in Paris. Seventeen years have passed since then. This city — its four seasons, the changing light of morning and night — has shaped this brand every step of the way, little by little, into what it is today.
And now, I have something special to share with you. Starting this August, I'll be moving the base of the brand from Paris to Japan, for the time being.
The reason
The reason is a personal one — family circumstances. To be more specific, my mother recently underwent some medical tests after her health took a turn. The results showed no serious issues, and she's doing well now. But faced with her age, and the fact that I'm her only child, I decided it was time to go back to Japan.
I made this decision at the end of May. The preparations that followed kept me busier than I expected, and it's taken me until now to share this with you. I want to apologize for that delay, first and foremost.
What stays the same
The name IMUKA TIMUKAT PARIS isn't going anywhere. It reflects where this brand was born, and it's a memory I want to hold onto. That said, in everyday conversation, I'll now be using the simpler, friendlier name "IMUKA TIMUKAT" more often. Paris will continue to live on — in the name, and in me.
There's also a small change in the production. The pieces currently in stock are made in France, but going forward, everything created in Japan will be made in Japan, but the passion I put in each piece won't change
About shipping and the site
Orders placed through July 31st will ship from Paris, as usual.
Starting in August, the site will pause temporarily during the move to Japan. Once I'm settled and have completed the necessary business registration procedures. I'll share the exact timing once it's confirmed.
Shipping rates and customs handling vary quite a bit by country, so I'd encourage you to check the details at checkout once shipping resumes — I want to be upfront that costs may look a little different depending on where you are.
During this transition, I'll do my best to respond to messages, though replies may take longer than usual. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Looking ahead
Seventeen years since starting the brand, and close to twenty-four since I first made Paris my home — this city has given me so much. The next chapter begins in Japan. But wherever I am, what I put into each piece of jewelry stays the same.
Thank you, as always, for being part of this.
